| Introduction | Married 30 years with one teenage daughter and one older - both great girls. Subscribe to the Bob Monkhouse philosophy that whilst growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional. My dad sowed the seeds of my interest in sports betting with his twin obsessions with maths and the football pools in the 1960s, both of which I inherited. Gave up on the pools decades ago when I realised now much they deducted for expenses, but my love of figures means I really enjoy trying to develop profitable sports betting methods and the glass half empty types who tell you you cannot make money at this game only serve to make me redouble my efforts. Sure, I've made mistakes and many of them. Occasionally felt like I'd started the credit crunch single handed, but have never made a mistake that I haven't learnt from. Am still learning. By the time I'm dead I'll be perfect. Money management (and that includes sports investing) would be on the school curriculum if I had my way. Even at 16 I realised that I was leaving school knowing nothing about mortgages, tax and investing but everything about the population of some obscure South American country or how to turn litmus paper a different colour. |
