| Introduction | Born in New Zealand, the son of a Heavy Truck Mechanic, I started working part time customer service at Maui rentals in Auckland to keep my head above water as I studied a BCom at Auckland Uni (Marketing and International Business). A loophole in their Summer school program allowed me to zip through in two and a half years, after which I shifted to Maui’s Marketing department while studying on, for a Masters of Marketing. Halfway through this was put on hold when Britz and Maui Campervans came together and I was sent to Munich for 1 year to help manage their Key European accounts. 1 year quickly turned into 4, and then in 2004 I was transferred again, this time to Sydney Australia. I still work for Maui, Britz, (and Backpacker) Campervans, where a safe distance from head office I Manage their Web Agents, Inbound Tour Operators and their Backpacker Campervans brand in Australia. I’ve also recently started an MBA part time so with graduation in June 2008 it looks like I'll be in Sydney for a while yet! |
