IntroductionAfter being homeless for half a year, my family and friends intervened and took my to a psych ward. After an extended stay I was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Depression added to my epilepsy. For the next few years I spent time in and out of the psych ward trying different medicaitons until my psychiatrist found a regime that started to help with my symptoms. For the past 8 years I have been slowly improving. I've been able to speak publicly about my circumstances, finish a computer programming diploma at a local college, complete peer support training, and find housing living independantly. I still struggle with my symptoms and have been researching complimentary therapies for the past few years, slowly implementing some, but not consistently enough. Taking medications, supplements, and food at the same time everyday is paramount to get the most out of them. So I've designed a program from all I've learned from professionals, web research and my peers that I hope will improve the quality of my life. I hope you will find this beneficial in some way for yourself, a loved one, or just to educate yourself on an illness with a great amount of stigma.
