Spoons evolve from forks: Fact: Forks are essential, spoons are not. You can drink almost anything you might use a spoon to consume. Hypothesis: It's more common to find things, once separate, fusing together through the evolutionary process. Evidence: SPORK: a genetically altered fork that did not complete the fusing process necessary to become a fully developed spoon. Status: RESOLVED.
