| Introduction | My name is Meraj. I am an educationist by profession and currently run a charitable school (Adharshila Higher Secondary School) at edge of the Kuno Naional Park, MP. I was born and brought up in Bihar and migrated to Delhi for higher studies. After graduating from Ramjas College, DU, I landed in Kuno nad have stayed there for the last 24 years. I have multiple interests and love learning new things. I have no formal training in Urdu language or poetry but developed a keen interest and picked up the skill on the way. I do not write on purpose. They come to me, somehow. Sometimes something touches and a poem presents itself. I write under the pseudonym 'Kafir' cryptically spelt as 'Caeffer'. I chose it because it has so many good meanings, besides being convenient for poetry. |

| Favorite movies | There are so many. 'Shutter Island' and 'Chupke chupke' are a few that I cannot get tire of revisiting. |
| Favorite music | Anything that goes slow like ghazal |
| Favorite books | Again, can't choose one. The one that changed me was 'The city of joy'. |
