| Introduction | My photographs have a whimsical, imaginative, storytelling quality to them that create a magical childlike space. Flowers reveal style, expression, emotion, glamour, humor and personality. The reflections found on the surface of flowers become components of textural beings, both physically and metaphorically. This work encourages a new perspective on nature. With this blog I am asking the viewer to be sensitive enough to look deeply at my photographs, discover the details that I have included in the frame and to consider the narrative as an integral part of the photograph. I hope the viewer is open to these interpretations and can see the intriguing and compelling ways in which flowers communicate. |
