Introduction	I pick up paperclips I find lying on the ground. I'm not sure how it started, but I cannot walk by a paperclip without picking it up. I do not look for them, per se, but I rarely fail to notice them. I'll be walking to work, spot one out of the corner of my eye, bend down to pick it up and continue. I place paperclips on works that I love and rephotograph them. It is a work in progress and I have great faith in it. The photographs that I choose to work with can be placed into four roughly defined categories: those of famous people; well-known images by photographers that I admire; movie stills or promotional photos; and photographically documented historical events.
