| Introduction | Phantasm is "Huan Siang"(幻象). It means the development of a mental image which is based on collection of past experiences that leads to an imaginary formation of "our own reality" which could differ vastly from the universal reality. It eludes and deludes us from the true and objective reality as perceived and distorted by the five senses. My blog depicts this phenomenon. I am on a journey of self-discovery which has been called the ultimate search for a living individual. I have traversed the oceans and far away lands in search of who I am and what I am - for every place provides us the mirrors to reflect and see our true self. The Zen people ask "What is your original face?" as we have never seen it - only a reflection of our present face. I am now discovering that the journey is inner - and it is all here and now. All practice is still just practice. The body is not me, the mind is not me, even the emotions are just a passing phase. That which remains is the true me... and I am learning to come face to face with me. I am blessed to share with you my learning and seek your benefaction. |
