| Introduction | I would like to start out by saying I am new to politics. This past election, sadly to say, is the first election that I have actively participated in. Yes, I have voted before but I never paid as much attention to the views and beliefs of the candidate in any other election as I did in this past one. Maybe it was the historical "hype" centered around this past presidential election that made politics more intriguing to me...whatever the case for my involvement, I was able to determine my stance on politics. I am bi-partisan. Like many of you, I am taking this class to satisfy my academic requirements; however, I am excited and looking forward to expanding my knowledge of Texas government...that is why I chose my title...Me, Myself, and I-nfluence government. I play a direct role in choosing the government that governs "me" therefore, I should know more about it. |
