About me

Gender Female
Occupation Sociology/Journalism
Location Birmingham, AL - Alabama
Introduction Birmingham's urban areas and surrounding urban neighborhoods are in a serious state of decline. Many of these homes and former businesses are considered "forgotten" and will soon be lost forever. Though I am not able to save each and every home or building I feature, what I can do is preserve their images so that they can be remembered forever. Photography is one of my passions. Research and history of locations is also one of my passions. Today's "cookie-cutter" society leaves little to the imagination in the ways of building structure and architecture. These earlier homes, buildings and structures had character that is rarely seen in today's building and home styles. This page is for those who enjoy "urban decay" and the beauty of the old styles of homes that are quickly disappearing. Please consider donating to my page and my cause if you enjoy my work as much as I do! Thank you and I hope you enjoy this walk back through time and viewing what is soon to be a lost art.
