Introduction	I used to think I was comfortable in my skin - a bit tumbleweed but determined in my small way to be a good father, lover, husband, provider, employee (note I have already failed to be a good son) and friend. I suppose that, instead of a red sports car or a Harley, my mid-life mistress is the journey of discovery toward self-realisation. But just as the oft derided - but much quoted - Maslow observed, before moving to the level of self-actualisation, of being the best that I can, current circumstances mean that I have to start right at the bottom of the pyramid again. Luckily I've got the will and the energy. So who am I? What am I? I now know that I'm not sure, and that this blog is a catharsis, a medium for confronting my uncertainty. Frank Zappa told us 'You is what you is', but I gotta tell ya Frank, that's just not helping me now (though your choons do)! Anne
