| Introduction | Mel Phillips Radio Views is the third in a series of radio blogs I've written since 2005 (Mel Phillips Remembers, Mel Phillips Now & Then and Mel Phillips Radio Views). I'm a regular contributor to Radio Daily News and recently wrote a serialized history of WRKO, Boston ("WRKO...The Launch). Prior to writing, I enjoyed a multi-media career in the programming of such legendary radio stations as WOR-FM, WXLO-FM, WNBC, WRKO AM & FM and KQV. I started my career as a DJ,but have also worked in the music business, media research and syndicated radio. I live in New York City with my wife and have two children and two grandchildren. |
