| Introduction | Bruce Chessé is an internationally recognized actor, director, puppeteer, and teacher, as well as a writer and publisher. With his father, Ralph Chessé, brother Dion he was a part of Arts community in San Francisco from 1949 to 1980. He then moved to Portland, Oregon and formed the Oregon Puppet Theatre with Susan Barthel. Semi retired he is still active as an educator and finds time to act in an occasional play while running Chessé Arts ltd. an "S" corporation dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of a collection of over 900 works of art left behind by Ralph Chessé on his death in 1991. |
