Introduction	I am a "migrant aerospace worker" currently residing in California with Elizabeth, my companion for seventeen years. I began my career as a machinist more than thirty years ago. Since then I’ve worked my way up through the ranks as a numerical control programmer, process planner, manufacturing engineer, department manager and project planner. I was appointed to the last position as project planner with no prior knowledge or experience in project management (PM). Although I was initially overwhelmed, I enjoyed the intensity of the position. Other than tracking progress and providing metrics, I found the majority of my time was spent getting people to cooperate with each other. At the time I was finishing my BA degree in organizational management; however, because a project’s success involves the interaction of so many different stakeholder personalities, I continued my education to achieve an additional major in psychology. I am now working on my MSPM through Boston University.
