Introduction I am excited to be coordinating the series for the fifth year after four successful years. I have a strong background in sport, hold a BSc in Psychology, Diploma in Sport Studies along with my Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning. I am currently completing my Masters in Psychology and am working towards accreditation as a Mental Skills Trainer. I have taught Science (Biology), Health and PE in Sydney and London for six years and returned to New Zealand late 2007. I have a son,Oscar, who keeps me on my toes, and along with daughter Evie (4 months)keeps me focused on enjoying life. As a previous national triathlon and duathlon representative in my junior years, I still remember my very first triathlon - what was then the Knapps City of Nelson Women's Triathlon (now sponsored by Taylors). My most vivid memory is getting off the bike and discovering that my legs wouldn't move - that jelly wobble feeling. The pleasure of completing that event spurred me on to keep achieving, and I have now completed five half ironmans. I love running, cycling and swimming but also enjoy team sports - basketball is a personal favourite.
