Introduction	Grandad, father/daddy, ex-hubby, boetie/brother, interested in life and just about anything, don't like sad or bad, 90% of the music out in the world, and I DO MEAN WORLD - not just what passes for music in our Western Culture; movies, prefer happy and fun; action or sad or "educational" don't cut it for me; like science and documentaries; history and pre-history; stone age to iron age Britain; NB - The "Cabin" at the top of The Hermit's Cabin page is NOT mine, just a picture I took many years ago; it is an old Fur Trading Post, moved from up NWT to Southern Ontario.

Favorite books	Walden, by Thoreau: I have down sized my library in the past 20 years from 8 ft x 16 ft wall of a few hundreds of books and even those were a remnant of a larger collection; now it is to the bare minimum of about 30 to 50 books (feel a post coming on ;-) that I can't get rid of and a few magazines that are out of print;
