Introduction	Sonia Gutiérrez is a humanitarian, professor, mom, poet, feminist, and social critic. She attended CSUSM where she received an MA in Literature and Writing Studies. During her graduate studies, she was an Exchange Lecturer (2001-02) at the Universidad de Valladolid, Spain. She has been both published and interviewed by Fringe Magazine.Sonia teaches at Palomar College and for Upward Bound (CSUSM). Sonia is at work on Kissing Dreams from a Distance, a novel, and Spider Woman/La Mujer Araña, is her debut bilingual poetry collection.
