| Introduction | I was born in Southeastern Tennessee. I have now lived in my husband's hometown for 35 years, where I have been involved with public education for about 17 years. I have served in volunteer and vocational ministries for about 25 years. I have three grown children, four granddaughters, and a grandson. I now sense a calling to a "Be still and know...." period right now. After about four years of St. John of the Cross's "dark night of the soul," or Henry Blackaby's "crisis of belief," I am open to God's leading--ready to move only as He moves. |

Please describe how you could take the peel off an apple all in one go:
I would use a paring knife and, just as my grandfather taught me, slowly and carefully peel around the apple.
