| Introduction | After spending my entire life in the South, including 5+ years in grad school, I find myself in the Northeast, learning a new field as I do my postdoc at Big Research Institute (BRI). I'm a young, married, female, American-born and trained scientist--not that any of those other things really have much to do with my science, but a number of people seem to think it's unusual. I love what I do, even on days that I hate it. I know what and where I want to be-a PI at a research university, preferably affiliated with a medical center, back South-now it's just a matter of getting there. |
