| Introduction | Born and raised on the Texas border at a time when it wasn’t cool to be Hispanic, my desire is to tell a story of a a growing population that was once lost in a gulf between cultures and now serves as a bridge - connecting and evolving both: The Rise of the Pocho Nation. Our mix of Mexican and American cultures is creating una nueva sabor. Combined with other Latino flavors, we are rapidly morphing mainstream America y mas - MultiCulti America. My writings are in English because it's first language and how my mind works. My POV comes from cultural experiences and emotions as a US-born Latino and that's how my heart works. Hopefully, this combo will provide insight and inspiration. If nothing else, I hope it's entertaining. |
