A Wrinkle In Thyme Farm

About me

Introduction In 1995 we bought the 1850's farmhouse and 32 acres, including an old apple orchard, a couple of fields and the rest woods. Neither of us had any farming experience, and really, farming never entered our minds that first year here. Then one spring morning our neighbor Larry, a lifelong farmer, said, "What would look really good around here would be a hen and a rooster. "What would it take?", we said. So he gave us a bantom hen and a rooster. We like hearing the rooster crow! Since that time serendipity has brought us a flock of sheep, angora goats, a draft horse, a border collie in training, a maple syrup operation and now wool production. For ourselves we grow vegetables, dye plants, blueberries and herbs to round out our diversified farm.
