Introduction"Enjoy your shitty, snotty, vomitty twenties," I was told by my baby's father when I decided to go ahead with my unplanned pregnancy. At 22 and half way through my degree I agreed with him that it was going to be dreadful but felt obliged to plod on. Motherhood always signals the death of identity and autonomy doesn't it? Aren't they drowned and swept away by a tidal wave of bodily fluids? Two years on and it's turning out OK. Yes, there are a lot of bodily fluids but there are also a lot of very happy moments so I have decided to start writing about it all. Single motherhood isn't all doom and gloom and you can still be who you were before if you like. Just make sure you wipe the snot off your frock before you go out.
InterestsTravelling the globe and always coming back to Manchester, old dresses, old music. Reading, writing and championing short fiction and, it turns out, motherhood.

Radio wire is often used to make bird nests. What station do they listen to?

Eggs FM Manchester (irresistable I'm afraid)
