| Introduction | I was born on the last day of International Women's Year. Librarianship is my second career. I spent ten years studying, researching and teaching Canadian history before making the switch in 2009. I already fit the profile of the stereotypical librarian: I like order, I like cats (although otters are a close second), I wear glasses, I tend to lean on the left side of the political spectrum, I love gin (in reasonable amounts, not at work, and preferably with tonic water and lime), I've picked up knitting. I'm also a tea enthusiast, a cheese addict and a recreational archer. |
