IntroductionI'm a daydreamer. When I was young I dreamed of being a famous ballerina or a famous jazz singer. Often I dreamed of being a National Geographic photographer/journalist on assignment in an exotic location. These days I dream of a clean house, organized closets, free time, disposible income and a house to decorate any way I want, the ability to write about God's truth as well as Nancy Eichman, and I dream of being an effective Ladies' Day speaker like Brenda Poarch. When I'm not dreaming, I'm Steve's wife, Ryan and Faith's mom, Heather's mom-in-law, Rya's grandma, Harold and Judy's daughter, Hal's sister, a pretty good business analyst, and God's little girl.
Interestsreading, making 'crafty stuff', hiking, fellowship with my church family, and avoiding housecleaning at all costs!
Favorite moviesIt's a Wonderful Life, The Philadelphia Story (with Katharine Hepburn), The African Queen, It Happened One Night, pretty much anything with John Wayne, The Hunt for Red October, Inception, the Harry Potter movies, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Moonstruck, and movies with witty dialogue (which are typically in black & white since it is hard to find unoffensive witty dialogue in more recent films).
Favorite musicI love a wide variety of music from Classical to 70's Rock to Big Band to Emo (ask your teenager) to the music of the 80's to the Blues to Scream-O (go back and ask your teenager.
Favorite booksThe Bible, The Little Engine That Could, the 'Little House' books, the Harry Potter books, Jan Karon's books, Lynn Austin's books, Karen Scalf Linmen's books, Francine Rivers' books, Michael Crichton's books, Nancy Eichman's books, and books by women who write about the South (such as Dorthea Benton Frank, Anne Rivers Siddons, Sue Monk Kidd, and Mary Alice Monroe...notice how they all have 3 names? It's a southern thing.)
