| Introduction | I’ve been a children’s researcher for over twenty years, and set up research company Family Kids and Youth with a team of expert researchers ten years ago. Before that I was Director of the Family division of GfK NOP. I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge and my research there looked at children’s and adolescents’ use of digital technology; this was ethnographic research over three years in the homes of children. I trained as a counsellor fifteen years ago and I’ve worked with adolescents in secondary schools, most recently in Tower Hamlets, East London. I’ve carried out research with children and adolescents on a wide range of topics, including media, health messages, sport and activity, fashion, food and drink, educational materials and website design. This blog is designed to keep clients, colleagues and friends in touch with what I’m currently doing, and I welcome your comments, thoughts and observations. Barbie Clarke. |
