| Introduction | Born in 1953 and grew up in Craighall park JHB. The middle Boy of three, I was introduced to this hobby / past time by my Father whom taught me the basic’s of aero modeling (Mostly Free flight those day’s) This lead me to a technical background / career and compete my High School education at John Orr Technical High School in 1971, and did my Military Training in the South African Air force Gymnasium in 1972. I join the SABC in same year and worked with them for the next 7 years. In 1976 set up a endurance flight for the Dock Malan trophy( 2h 35min) and this was later acknowledge as a South African R/C model glider endurance record that held good for 19 years before it was broken.(1976 –1995) I am Currently working for a Audio Visual company an are still very much active in R/C gliding. Recently help with the formation and organization of the Black Eagle Radio Glider Club. |
