| Introduction | Nathan Beasley, 27 years old, was originally diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma in 2005 after a lump under his arm was removed. After two years of multiple types of chemo and a stem cell transplant he went into remission. In May of last year Nathan had a severe case of shingles and we decided that something was wrong. We started going to MD Anderson again to find out if his cancer had returned. After almost nine months of trips back and forth from Austin to Houston to the hospital for test and biopsies they did surgery to remove a knot in his neck and in February 2011 he was informed that he is no longer in remission. This time the cancer has spread into his bones. He will need to go into a full remission after chemotherapy treatments and then undergo a donor stem cell transplant (PBSC transplant). He lives in Round Rock with his wife, Tiana, and four year old step son, Aedyn, and all of his treatments are in Houston at MD Anderson. Please help raise money for his trips to and from Houston for treatment as well as medical costs due to no insurance. |
