| Introduction | After college I worked in Washington, DC as a restorer for Launey and Company, restoring the decorative work in fine homes and embassies in the area. One of my personal clients helped to start my career as a Trompe-l'œil artist. I had my own business and taught classes at the Smithsonian Residence Associates Program. Throughout this period, I created art with deeper meaning. I continue my work on paintings now that attempt to embody the core of human striving. I’m looking for that binding power, which is the opposite of mob mentality: our mutual connections. The human spirit also possesses hope, even in the most desperate of circumstances. I think it is part of the full human experience to find oneself in extraordinary circumstances that hone our highest potential. |
