| Introduction | Historic Vienna, Inc. (HVI), established by the Vienna Town Council on April 5, 1976, is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to preserving and promoting Vienna's heritage, educating the public and enhancing a spirit of community through an awareness of Vienna’s past. Beginning in the summer of 2013, the Historic Vienna Oral History Project aims to pursue this legacy by facilitating the creation of local history by Vienna community members. We interview past and present inhabitants who have impacted the formation of Vienna's present character, with the goal of presenting a nuanced and multi-valenced account of Vienna over the years. |
