Introduction | Tim Pozar is a geek that has been developing and deploying tools for democratic communications since the mid-70s. Additionally he has been building out critical broadcast and data
infrastructure.
Tim recently served as VP of Engineering at UnitedLayer (and still is a co-owner), a colocation and Tier 2 nation-wide ISP. During that time, he over-saw the deployment of a national network and multiple colocations facilities. Before this, Tim was VP of Operations of a Omniva and Brightmail. At each company he was architect and oversaw the deployment of 24 by 7 support and service infrastructure. Previous to these companies, he was Director of Operations for Alexa Internet and Internet Archive where he built out crawling and massive storage facilities to support the companies’ services. Tim also was co-founder of one of the first ISPs; TLGnet (AS2914). There he built out the early networkinfrastructure for the company. TLG was sold to Hiway and then Verio in the mid-90’s. |
