About me

Introduction	I am a senior studying Spanish, journalism and English. Originally from Kansas City, I transferred to Rockhurst my sophomore year. Although I never thought I would choose to attend college in my hometown, I have come to love being so close to my family. Sunday dinner invites, free laundry facilities and regular play dates with my dogs, Ted and Angus, sweeten the deal even more. That being said, I feel it’s time for a new experience. On August 20th I will leave Kansas City and arrive in El Salvador for a semester-long stay at the Casa de la Solidaridad. While taking classes through the University of Central America, I will live with other students in a community setting that emphasizes living simply. Additionally, two days each week will be dedicated to service throughout the community. I'm really looking forward to the experience!
