Introduction	As an independent-minded person who values knowledge and unbiased judgement, it would be fair to describe myself as a freethinker. However, being completely free from bias or prejudice, always able to tell the emotional from the rational - well, that is a tall order, and I could not claim to be that wise. So an “ASPIRING freethinker” is as good as it gets. I also have to acknowledge that - like all my fellow human beings - I have a deep need for emotional and spiritual sustenance. I believe there is no contradiction between acknowledging these needs and aspiring to be a freethinker. On the contrary, “know thyself” is bound to add value to any quest for knowledge and better understanding. Is it possible to satisfy one's spiritual needs without believing everything that is written in The Book? Or falling for any dogma? I think it is possible. This is what I will be exploring in this blog.
