| Introduction | Has it really been YEARS since I lived in Queens, guys? Apparently, I lived in Philadelphia for four years before relocating to the Lone Star State in March 2011. No matter, this charming little blog has seen me through some amazing times in NYC's finest borough with my then-boyfriend, who became my fiance, who became my husband, who recently became my baby daddy, now that Hendrik has joined in on the fun. I love reading, writing, passing judgment on others, unabashedly watching romantic comedies, traveling the globe with my sidekick J, talking about taking the GMATs one day and becoming a serious business person, Broadway shows, feminism, expensive bags, Vanity Fair, Keri Russell, liberals, all 19 brilliant episodes of My So-Called Life, and Oprah. I really dislike litter bugs, and most Facebook status updates. Once, one of my very best friends said to me "HomeValley, you're not just some chump; you're the real thing." She was double-fisting champagne at the time, but still. Words to live by. Enjoy! |
