| Introduction | I lead the Freedom Writers chapter of Florida Writers Assn. at our monthly meetings on the third Saturday. Currently, I have a book in print called Life's Rough Roads, about a local Ocala couple. The book won first place in its category at the Florida Writers Assn.'s Royal Palm Literary Awards competition in 2010. It's now available on Amazon.com as well as Kindle. I have a science-fiction/romance novel ready for the editor, which also won first place at the 2011 RPLA Awards. I am working with my sister on a duo-memoir about our early years on a farm in Moscow, Ohio. Several of my short stories have been printed -- in the FWA's first anthology called "From Our House to yours" in 2009, and in Ocala's Good Life magazine, December 2011 issue. My thanks to South Marion Citizen for granting permission to copy my columns on www.jonesyworks.blogspot.com. I stopped writing the columns on behalf of Freedom Public Library to devote more time to my own writing projects. |
