Drinking up every moment with our new baby girl, Caroline, always missing my first baby girl, Eliza, who was born after her heart stopped beating, on December 6, 2010. I navigate this journey of laughter and tears holding the hand of my husband and favorite person in the world, David. When I'm not mired in existential crisis, I do my best to pass as a competent and capable English professor (just don't proofread my blog for grammar!). I'm also parent to a couple of spoiled dogs. And I'm (finally) rediscovering that life has sparkle and flavor, especially when I'm teaching college students, reading novels, walking the dogs, shopping for bargains, hanging out with my besties, watching my husband cook, drinking wine, eating popcorn, trying to sew, flailing around with golf clubs, taking yoga classes, and traveling hither and yon.
