| Interests | Reading, Running Distances, Relaxing on sandy beaches while hot cabana boys deliver frosty beverages, Angry Birds, Music, Singing loudly and off key in the shower...of all my lofty interests, this last one is the only one I actually have time to pursue during my occasional showers. |
| Favorite movies | Ah, I faintly recall the phenomenon known as movies...at least I know what you do in movie theaters! You carry a large popcorn, 3 overpriced drinks and stale candy while propping a toddler on one hip, trying to show the guy in a weird jacket the tickets you already lost in one or the other of your pockets full of snotty tissues, yelling at your older kids not to run, and looking longingly at all the doors with movies behind them that you might actually WANT to see while herding them past R rated doors and to the VERY LAST door where the kid movie is...really, who organizes this stuff??...and then you spend 2 sweaty hours passing out sticky treats, cleaning up spills, charming them into being quiet and escorting them each to the bathroom, three times apiece. And you get to PAY to do this! Yup, love the movies. |
| Favorite music | My daughters singing loud obnoxious songs, and Katelyn playing the piano, Nora playing violin, and Ella honking on the kazoo until there's too much slobber in it and it won't work anymore (this is actually the best part). |
| Favorite books | War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. When I mentioned this book to my 7 year old recently, she said "Why would you read a book all about warts???" I know. I don't even have a favorite book anymore...not even sure if I can still read anything without pictures of Dora the Explorer in it. |
