| Introduction | I am relatively new to donkey breeding, having purchased my first miniature jennets in 2011. Since that time I have expanded into raising the rare and endangered Poitou Donkey. Now that I am retired, I have made it a point to become thoroughly knowledgeable about donkey health and welfare. My donkeys have taught me they are fascinating, smart and loving. The Miniature donkeys are much different from the Poitou Donkeys, but both are gentle, smart and each is a unique spirit. People ask me what do you do with donkeys? I always answer that they give my land purpose and through their gentleness and companionship they improve my life. |
