| Introduction | I have more than 35 years of experience as a newspaperman for The Miami Herald and The Associated Press. For the past 10 years or so at The Miami Herald, my responsibilities included overage of tropical weather and the National Hurricane Center. I actually tried to learn something about what I was covering, and I believe I did.
