| Introduction | I'm a working mother who feels overwhelmed at the scale of the devastation being wrought on the Japanese people, who were so captivating and welcoming when I worked there, performing a play in Tokyo, many moons ago. My eight year-old son is an Origami nut and inspiration struck over the kitchen table last Sunday afternoon as I watched him teaching his friend Origami. This is a way for children, and their parents, to raise pennies, potentially an avalanche of pennies, to do a little to help the proud people of Japan, using the beautiful ancient Japanese art of paper folding. |
