| Introduction | Librarian at small business college library. Writing and photography. Offers interesting thoughts and observations about science, environment, writing, reading, education, and life in general. |
| Interests | Literature and genre fiction (especially Sci-Fi and Horror), emerging technologies, traveling, photography, music, art and sampling good food and wine(love trying different restaurants). |
| Favorite movies | There's a lot. The classics: the older black and white films, and big ones from the 1950s-1970s. Of the escapist, Sci-Fi, Horror and speculatuve genre. 'Close Encounters of Third Kind' and 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' are two of my favorites. But there's so many, I'd run out of space here naming them. Also, love those classic t.v. series from the 1960's, such as 'Star Trek' and 'The Twilight Zone.' When 'The X-files' came out during the 1990's and 'Lost' in 2006-2010 period, I was heavily into those as well. |
| Favorite music | Beatles, 1960's & 1970's pop rock, classical music, some jazz (especially guitar). I'm not into much pop of 1980-2010 period (with rare exceptions). |
| Favorite books | The classics ('Jane Eyre' and 'Crime & Punishment' to name a couple, but I've read and loved so many more). I grew up on Sci-fi and Horror, then moved on to more speculative type fiction. I'm heavily into the work of Frank Herbert, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Aldous Huxley. |
