| Favorite Movies | Forgive me, I'm a sucker for classics, especially anything with Danny Kaye (especially The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Gene Kelly, or Fred Astaire (and yes, Owl is more charming than any of them) |
| Favorite Music | I love music, but when I hear Bach cello suites or Mozart clarinet concertos I sometimes wonder why bother with the rest of it. |
| Favorite Books | Forgive me, I teach English. I love all of Jane Austen, Gilead, To the Lighthouse, Brideshead Revisited, My Antonia, all of Tolstoy, Brothers Karamasov, much of P.G. Wodehouse, sometimes Wallace Stegner. I enjoy a good autobiography or history as well--and of course a great cookbook. |
