Introduction Uriah the Hittite is a biblical character I strive to emulate. Most people don't remember him as he doesn't say much nor is he a major character. What is known about him: he was a mighty warrior who served his God, his adopted country, and loved his wife until he was murdered. I cannot think of a better avatar to emulate.
I am a single guy going through life and occasionally writing about my life lessons, experiences, or books with something interesting to share. Much of these writings are from my early 20's. Many of the opinions displayed on this blog have since changed. I do not think myself significant enough to have my posts combed over for "appropriate content."
I grew up in the suburbs of Sacramento, CA. Following several aimless semesters at the local community college, I joined the Army. This adventure started a decade long pattern of transience which took me to Missouri, Arizona, Germany, England, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Texas, Iraq, Ohio, Afghanistan, and finally Southern California.
My happy place is Hume, California.
