| Introduction | To Jamie, life and athletics have much in common; the human spirit. Whether in victory or defeat, the human spirit shines through in his work. Jamie Capsolas’ journey onto the canvas began at the age of 27, while attending school in Sarasota, Florida. During his exploration to canvas, Jamie experimented with many different styles and techniques. This has helped to shape and define his unique impressionistic style. Painting in oil and acrylics, Jamie rarely uses a brush, opting instead to use a palette knife. Now residing in Orange County, California, Jamie was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from Ringling School of Art and Design. Since his graduation, Jamie’s work has been published in The New York Sports Scene Magazine and The West Trade Review. He has exhibited in the Ringling Gallery, PS Zask Gallery and Watts Fine Art. Jamie's work is part of numerous private collections, he has been featured on NBC's "Extra" and he is commissioned to create his work nationally and internationally. |
