| Introduction | I'm Erica. At my core, I am a planner, an organizer, and I like to keep busy and get things done, but I also like to have fun, hang out, and relax. I am driven, self-motivated, and a bit of a nerd, but I'm not one of those introverted nerds. I always score right in the middle on the introvert/extrovert spectrum. I'm loud, fairly social, and gregarious, and I love to go out and get a drink or two (or sometimes more), but I also love to stay in, watch Netflix, read a book, and over-think. Additionally, if you ask me about my work, be prepared for a diatribe of professor-speak on the topics of autonomic nervous system functioning, clinical psychology, emotion, emotion regulation, neuroimaging, neuroscience, etc. I really can't help myself, because that is what I'm truly passionate about, and that is what I mean by "nerd". I recently accepted an Assistant Professor position in Miami! I'm both excited and scared about living in Miami, but I'm crazy excited to be starting my career. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING. |
