| Introduction | Jenny Lou, silly name? Maybe...but in my family a middle name with more than one syllable is out of the question and since my real middle name didn't fit, this is what my Grandmother decided would work for her. It stuck. I am a Mother of two and the wife of the best human I know. I love to travel and I love wine...everything about wine really but I also LOVE being in the kitchen. I love cooking and the comfort of making an all day Sunday dinner but I also love the science behind baking and just how beautiful it looks and smells when you're all done. I'll admit it, I like instant gratification and being in the kitchen and producing delicious food does exactly that. My motto is "Who says all treats have to be sweet?" since I started out with just baking as my original endeavor. The baking quickly morphed into catering specializing in delicious, not always traditional desserts and great cocktail party and theme party food. Alas, the kitchen calls to me, cooking and baking calls to me. So...here I am. I hope you enjoy my stories, my recipes, and occassionally my gripes. I hope to be relatable if nothing else.
