| Introduction | I’m an African-American, 30-something, Mid-Western girl with all the usual womanly worries: husband, kids, house, job and HAIR. I am by no means a hair professional, but I have spent hundreds of hours doing internet research on healthy hair. I have experimented and experienced a lot over 20 plus years of relaxed hair and this blog exists to chronicle my redefinition of that journey. 90% of the hair care products I use are all-natural and one of my many hair goals is to get that number to 100%. I feel the relaxer process is more than enough chemicals for one head of hair, so avoiding chemicals in my day-to-day maintenance routine is important. My hair has been shoulder length many times before and my goal now is to grow it past that point, how far past I haven’t decided yet, we’ll see how far it goes :). |
