| Introduction | So much has changed... I used to be married with two kids, a stay-at-home mum who blogged and posted on (my) websites as something 'adult' to do to keep me sane midst the piles of Lego, nappy changes and sleepless nights... Now it's so different as I'm a widow following my husband's death & single working mother. Internet time is more of a luxury these days but still is there to keep me 'sane' (OK sane is stretching it a lot!) and to give me chance to comment on issues that interest me in this much changed world that I am now living in- a world that see I see differently following my recent experiences with several family members and how their illnesses & situations have been dealt with by the state. A few years ago, I would have said news articles about the elderly dying in hospital due to dehydration were gross exaggerations; now I wouldn't. I used to think the elderly and sick were cared for properly by our society but painful experience has shown me that that isn't always the case. I guess I'm a very different person to the one I was two years ago. |
| Interests | Wasting time on the web, reading, visiting historic properties, travelling (just UK now because of the kids but world wide before I had them) & writing which is my real passion in life but everthing else seems to get in the way :( |
