| Introduction | I am a writer, squatter, social worker, roustabout construction worker, parent and friend. I remain convinced that a certain kind of alchemy can happen with an assemblage of text, that in the right arrangement can bring the reader to reflect, experience a certain delicious swoon, to feel the rush of memory, to have a flash of insight or a momentary and particular sense of place. I hope to inspire a sense of kinship with the world, a cellular solidarity that encompasses the human world and the other worlds that we are embedded within. |
