| Introduction | This blog started when I studied abroad in Ghana, West Africa with SIT's arts and culture program a year ago last Spring semester. My independent study project was on rural women's access to water and traditional pottery in the Volta Region. That independent study project has since become my Environmental Studies Senior thesis and is what has led me here, to the Dominican Republic's FilterPure factory where I am learning everything I can about ceramic water filters for 2 weeks. |
