Introduction | I entered the Army in 1992 as an infantryman and went into the Reserves in 1995, finishing out my enlisted time as a Drill Sergeant. I graduated from Clinton Community College with an AA in Liberal Arts (honors) and an AS in Biology (honors) in 1997, from the University of Iowa with a BS in Microbiology (high honors) in 1999 and from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry with a DDS in 2004. I am currently serving in the U.S. Army as a Dental Officer in a SOF unit and will be attending an OMFS residency this summer (2009). I serve as a Ruling Elder at Providence Presbyterian Church (PCA) and am a licensed preacher in my denomination. I have deployed twice to Kuwait (pre-9/11) and three times to Afghanistan (OEF IIX-XII). I have a beautiful and patient wife and three children. Most important of all, I am a Reformed Christian, by the grace of God, and seek to serve my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, though I often fail to do so as well as I should. |
